"Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, ‘Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer’s house is.’"
Context:The book of 1 Samuel recounts the transition of leadership in Israel from the time of judges to the establishment of the monarchy. Samuel, the last of the judges, was also a prophet and played a crucial role in anointing Saul as the first king of Israel.

Rather than relying solely on his own abilities, Saul sought the counsel of a prophet, recognising the importance of seeking God’s direction. When facing challenges or seeking direction, we should approach God with humility, acknowledging His sovereignty and seeking His guidance through prayer and studying His Word.
