“Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD thy God.”
Context:This verse is part of the story of Saul, the first king of Israel. In this chapter, Samuel the prophet commanded Saul to completely destroy the Amalekites and all their possessions as a judgment from God.
