2 Chronicles 18:33

Posted on 18 May at 11:37

And a certaine man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel betweene the ioynts of the harnesse: therefore he said to his charet man, Turne thine hand, that thou mayest carry me out of the host, for I am wounded. 2 Chronicles 18:33 (KJV)

This verse records the moment when Ahab, despite disguising himself in battle, is struck by an arrow and mortally wounded. It highlights the certainty of God’s word spoken earlier through Micaiah: human schemes cannot overturn divine judgment, and the king’s attempt to escape the prophecy does not succeed.
