2 Timothy 1:15
This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me, of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. 2 Timothy 1:15 (KJV)
The Apostle Paul wrote his second letter to Timothy while he was imprisoned in Rome, awaiting execution. Timothy, a young pastor and close companion of Paul, received this letter to encourage and instruct him in his ministry. Application: Examine our own hearts. This verse prompts self‑reflection—are there areas where we have compromised our faith? We are invited to seek forgiveness, repent, and realign ourselves with God’s will.
Application: Pray for others. Rather than judging those who have strayed, we should lift them up in prayer, asking God to bring them back, grant forgiveness, and work transformative power in their lives.
