“Now, therefore, I pray thee if I have found grace in thy sight, show me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.”
Context:In Exodus 33, after the incident of the golden calf, God’s anger burns against the Israelites due to their idolatry and disobedience. In response, God withdraws His presence from the camp of Israel and informs Moses that He will no longer accompany them on their journey to the Promised Land (Exodus 33:1-3). The people are distressed by this news, and Moses sets up the Tent of Meeting outside the camp, where he would meet with God (Exodus 33:7-11).
