In Exodus 4, Moses expressed his doubts and concerns to God about his ability to speak eloquently before the Israelites. God assured Moses that He would be with him, and even provided him with miraculous signs to perform before the people. First, God transformed Moses’ staff into a serpent, and then back into a staff again. Next, He instructed Moses to put his hand in his bosom, and when he took it out, it was leprous, but then restored when he repeated the action. Lastly, God informed Moses that if the Israelites did not believe the previous signs, he should take water from the river and pour it on the ground, which would turn into blood.
However, Moses continued to resist, claiming that he was not eloquent enough. God reassured him, declaring that He would be with Moses and guide his words. Moses requested that his brother Aaron accompany him as a spokesperson. God agreed, allowing Aaron to assist Moses in delivering His messages to the Israelites.
