General Epistles

This division includes the letters written by other apostles and early Christian leaders. It consists of Hebrews, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, and Jude.

Hebrews

An epistle emphasizing the superiority of Christ and the new covenant, encouraging perseverance and faith in the midst of trials.

James

A practical and ethical letter emphasizing the importance of genuine faith shown through good works, wisdom, and controlling the tongue.

1 Peter

A letter written by Apostle Peter, encouraging believers to stand firm in their faith amidst persecution, offering hope and guidance for living as strangers in the world.

2 Peter

A letter attributed to the Apostle Peter, warning against false teachers and encouraging believers to grow in faith, knowledge, and godly living.

1 John

Emphasizes love, fellowship with God, and the assurance of salvation. Encourages believers to walk in the light, love one another, and reject worldly influences.

2 John

A brief letter addressing love and truth. Encourages walking in obedience, warns against deceivers, and emphasizes the importance of abiding in the teachings of Christ.

3 John

A personal letter from John to Gaius, commending his hospitality and warning against Diotrephes’ power-seeking behavior. Emphasizes the importance of supporting faithful workers.

Jude

A short letter warning against false teachers and urging believers to remain faithful. Emphasizes God’s judgment on ungodliness and the need to contend for the faith.
