“And it came to pass, when Israel was strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, and did not utterly drive them out”

The presence of these pagan nations caused them to stray from the worship of the true God and brought about cycles of oppression. This serves as a reminder that disobedience to God’s commands has negative consequences in our lives.
Application:The verse in Judges 1:28 serves as a reminder of the importance of wholehearted obedience to God’s commands and the dangers of compromise. As believers, we are called to live lives of obedience and faithfulness, fully relying on God’s strength rather than our own. We should not allow sinful influences to take root in our lives but rather seek to remove them completely. By doing so, we can experience the blessings and protection that come from walking in obedience to God’s Word.
