“They shall therefore keep mine ordinance, lest they bear sin for it, and die therefore, if they profane it: I the Lord do sanctify them.”

- Obedience to God’s Word: Just as the priests were expected to follow God’s instructions, we should strive to obey God’s Word in our lives. Through the Bible, God provides guidance and principles that shape our conduct and reflect our love for Him.
- Understanding the consequences of sin: Sin has serious consequences. While the ultimate penalty for sin was paid by Jesus on the cross, there are still temporal consequences for our actions. We should be mindful of the choices we make and seek to live in accordance with God’s commands.
- Embracing sanctification: As believers, we are called to live holy and set-apart lives. The New Testament teaches that we are a chosen people, a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9). We are sanctified through the work of the Holy Spirit in us, and we should strive to reflect this holiness in our thoughts, actions, and attitudes.
