Major Prophets

This division consists of the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, and Daniel. These books contain the prophecies, visions, and messages of the major prophets who spoke on behalf of God to the people of Israel and surrounding nations.

Isaiah

A prophetic book conveying messages of judgment, restoration, and the coming Messiah. It offers hope and admonition, revealing God’s faithfulness and plans for His people.

Jeremiah

The prophet’s messages of judgment, calling for repentance and warning of exile, but also offering hope of restoration and a new covenant with God.

Lamentations

A poetic expression of grief and mourning over the destruction of Jerusalem, reflecting on the consequences of disobedience and seeking hope in God’s faithfulness.

Ezekiel

Prophet in exile, receiving visions of God’s glory, warning of judgment, and offering hope of restoration for Israel. Profound messages of divine presence and renewal.

Daniel

A book of prophecy and narratives. It follows the experiences of Daniel in Babylonian captivity, revealing visions, interpretations, and God’s sovereignty in the midst of adversity.
