The Pentateuch (Torah)

This is the first section of the Old Testament, consisting of the first five books—Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. The Pentateuch is attributed to Moses and contains foundational narratives, laws, and teachings.

Genesis

The beginning of all things. God creates the world, Adam and Eve, and the generations that follow, setting the stage for humanity’s journey.

Exodus

Liberation of the Israelites from Egypt, Moses receives the Ten Commandments, and the construction of the tabernacle.

Leviticus

A book of laws and regulations outlining rituals, sacrifices, and ethical guidelines for the ancient Israelites.

Numbers

Israel’s journey from Sinai to the Promised Land, was marked by census, laws, rebellion, and God’s faithfulness despite their unfaithfulness.

Deuteronomy

Moses’ final speeches to Israel, recounting their history, emphasizing obedience to God’s law, and preparing them for entering the Promised Land.
