1 Chronicles 6:20

Posted on 18 May at 11:32

Of Gershom: Libni his sonne, Iahath his sonne, Zimmah his sonne, 1 Chronicles 6:20 (KJV)

“And of Gershom; Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,” “And of Gershom, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Zimri his son,” In this verse, we encounter a segment of the genealogy of Gershom, who was the eldest son of Moses. In 1 Chronicles 6:22-23, we find a segment of the genealogy of Gershom, who was the eldest son of Moses. Gershom had two sons: Libni and Shimei. According to 1 Chronicles 26:6, Gershom had three sons: Libni, Shimei, and Zimri. The verse lists all three of these descendants rather than focusing solely on Libni. The genealogies in Chronicles served various purposes within the Israelite community, not only recording lineage but also carrying religious and historical significance. It’s important to note that the genealogies found in Chronicles served various purposes within the context of the Israelite community. They were not only records of lineage but also carried religious and historical significance. These lists demonstrated a person’s ancestral connection to the tribes of Israel and their role within the nation’s religious framework. Genealogies demonstrated a person’s ancestral connection to the tribes of Israel and their role within the religious framework of the nation. While this passage provides historical and genealogical information, it helps us understand the priestly lineage of the Levites and their role within Israel’s history. While this specific verse may not contain explicit spiritual or moral teachings, it does provide historical and genealogical information that aids in understanding the priestly lineage of the Levites and their role in Israel’s history.
