2 Corinthians Chapter 13

Summery

In 2 Corinthians 13, the apostle Paul concludes his letter to the church in Corinth with a final admonition and exhortation. He warns the Corinthians that this will be his third visit to them, and he will not tolerate any further disobedience or sin. He reminds them that Christ, who is mighty in them, was crucified in weakness but lives by the power of God. Paul urges the Corinthians to examine themselves and test whether they are truly in the faith. He encourages them to seek their own perfection, to be of one mind, to live in peace, and to love one another.

Paul writes that he hopes they will not have to exercise his authority when he visits, but that they will do what is right even when he is absent. He prays that the Corinthians will be perfect, and he ends the letter by offering a blessing of grace and love from God.
