2 Peter is a solemn and urgent epistle that calls believers to spiritual growth, steadfastness in the truth, discernment against false teachers, and readiness for the coming day of the Lord. Peter warns that just as there were false prophets in former days, false teachers would also arise among believers, bringing in destructive heresies.
