2 Samuel 10:9

When Joab saw that the front of the battle was against him before and behind, he chose of all the choice men of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians:

Context

This verse is part of the story of King David’s kindness to Hanun, the new Ammonite king. Hanun’s advisors wrongly called David’s messengers spies, so war broke out. The Ammonites hired Syrian soldiers to help them fight Israel.
