In 2 Chronicles 5, Solomon completes the construction of the temple and gathers the elders, leaders, and priests of Israel to bring the Ark of the Covenant to its rightful place in the Most Holy Place. The priests carry the Ark into the temple while the Levitical musicians, with their instruments, praise and worship God. As they sing in unison, the temple is filled with a cloud, indicating the presence of the Lord. The glory of the Lord is so powerful that the priests cannot continue their service. Solomon acknowledges God's faithfulness and the fulfillment of His promise to his father David in establishing a temple for His name.
