Psalms 121:5

“The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.”

Context:The book of Psalms is a collection of poetic songs and prayers written by various authors, including King David. Psalm 121 is known as a “Song of Ascents,” which were sung by the Israelites as they made their pilgrimage to Jerusalem. This particular psalm is a comforting and reassuring reminder of God’s protection and care.

– Protection and Shelter: Just as shade shields from the sun’s rays, God’s presence offers shelter from the storms of life. He provides refuge and strength in times of trouble, guiding and leading us through challenging situations.

– God’s Favour and Support: Being at the right hand symbolises God’s favour, strength, and assistance. As believers, we can trust that God is by our side, offering His support, guidance, and provision in every circumstance.
