Jeremiah 50:43

The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail.

The king of Babylon at this time is likely Belshazzar, who ruled as co-regent with his father Nabonidus and was present when Babylon fell to the Medes and Persians. That event confirms that God’s word through Jeremiah was fulfilled exactly.
