Jonah 2:1

Context:Jonah is a prophet of God who was given a specific task by the Lord to go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against its wickedness. However, Jonah tried to flee from God’s presence and boarded a ship going in the opposite direction. God sent a great storm, and Jonah was thrown overboard and swallowed by a great fish. Inside the belly of the fish, Jonah prays to God.

The Power of Prayer:Jonah’s dire circumstances led him to turn to God in prayer. Despite his disobedience and attempting to run away, Jonah recognizes that God is the only one who can save him. This verse highlights the power and importance of prayer in times of distress.
