The “evil eye” describes an envious or covetous attitude toward others, looking upon them with jealousy rather than generosity; Jesus teaches that a pure heart must reject such envy (Matthew 6:22‑23).
Blasphemy is the irreverent or disrespectful speaking against God, His name, or His attributes, a serious offense considered a sin against the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:31‑32). Pride is an inflated self‑importance and arrogance that the Bible warns is destructive (Proverbs 16:18); humility is presented as the opposite virtue. Foolishness is acting without wisdom, understanding, or discernment, leading to unwise choices; believers are encouraged to seek divine wisdom and discernment (Proverbs 3:5‑7).
