Matthew 15:19

Fornications:Fornication generally refers to any sexual activity outside the boundaries of marriage. Jesus warns against indulging in immoral sexual behavior, emphasizing that it stems from impure desires and motivations within the heart.

Thefts:Stealing or taking what does not belong to us is considered theft. Jesus points out that this wrongful act emerges from a covetous or greedy heart that desires to possess what rightfully belongs to others.

False witness:This refers to lying or bearing false testimony against someone. Jesus highlights the importance of truthfulness and integrity, highlighting that falsehood originates from a deceitful and dishonest heart.

Blasphemies:Blasphemy involves speaking irreverently or contemptuously about God or sacred things. Jesus emphasizes that such speech emerges from a heart that lacks reverence and respect for the divine.

In Matthew 15:19, Jesus underscores the significance of addressing the internal condition of the heart. He emphasizes that true righteousness and purity come from having a transformed heart and allowing God’s grace and Spirit to work within us, enabling us to overcome these sinful tendencies.
