Daniel 11:32

Listen to this article

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”

This verse is part of a prophecy given to the prophet Daniel concerning future events and conflicts that would take place among nations. It specifically focuses on a period of time during the reign of various Persian and Greek kings. Let’s break down the verse and explore its meaning:

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries”:This phrase refers to those who act wickedly against the covenant, which likely represents the people who turn away from God and His commandments. These individuals will be influenced and corrupted by flatteries, deceitful words or enticements that lead them further astray.

“But the people that do know their God shall be strong”:Here, Daniel contrasts those who are enticed by flatteries with those who have a personal knowledge of God. The people who truly know and have a relationship with God will experience strength. This strength is not necessarily physical but rather a spiritual strength that comes from their faith and trust in God.

“And do exploits”:The phrase “do exploits” implies that those who know their God will take action and accomplish remarkable things. It suggests that they will be empowered by God to carry out acts of faith, courage, and spiritual significance. Through their obedience and reliance on God, they will make a positive impact on the world around them.

Overall, Daniel 11:32 emphasizes the importance of knowing God and remaining faithful to His covenant. It highlights the contrast between those who are easily swayed by deceit and those who stand strong in their relationship with God. The verse encourages believers to stay firm in their faith, even in the face of opposition, and promises that God will provide them with the strength to overcome challenges and accomplish great things in His name.
