Unto him be glory in the Church by Christ Iesus, throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:21 (KJV)

Unto him

be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:21 (KJV)

Context:

The book of Ephesians was written by the Apostle Paul to believers. Although it is addressed to the church in Ephesus, it is considered a general epistle for all Christians. In this concluding verse Paul offers a prayer that emphasizes the eternal nature of God’s glory and its manifestation in the body of Christ.

Unto Him Be Glory:

The verse opens by declaring that all glory belongs to God alone. It affirms that every honour, praise, and worship is to be directed toward Him because of His perfect nature, character, and the mighty works He has performed.

In the Church:

The phrase “in the church” points to the community of believers, the body of Christ. God’s glory is to be displayed within this community, not merely in a physical building but in the gathered believers who worship, serve, and bear witness together.

By Christ Jesus:

The glory experienced in the church is made possible through the work of Jesus Christ. He is the central figure who mediates between God and humanity, granting believers access to God’s blessings and enabling them to reflect His glory.

Throughout All Ages:

The expression “throughout all ages” underscores the everlasting nature of God’s glory. It is not confined to a single generation but extends from the beginning of time to eternity, remaining unchanging and ever‑present.

World Without End:

This phrase further stresses that God’s glory will continue forever, without cessation. It reminds believers that divine glory transcends the limits of the present world and reaches into the eternal realm.

Amen:

The concluding “Amen” is an affirmation of truth, a solemn declaration of agreement with the preceding statements. It expresses the believer’s confidence in the certainty of God’s eternal glory.

Overall, Ephesians 3:21 highlights the unchanging and eternal nature of God’s glory, which is to be manifested in the church through the work of Christ Jesus. It calls believers to give all honour and praise to God, recognizing that His glory extends throughout all ages and into eternity.
