Galatians 5:7

Ye did run well; who did hinder you, that ye should not obey the trueth? Galatians 5:7 (KJV)

The Scripture quoted reads, “Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?” This is the wording attributed to Galatians 5:7 in the King James Version. The same wording is reproduced in the study opening. A comment follows that this phrase is a paraphrase and does not appear verbatim in the King James Version of the Bible. The observation emphasizes that the exact words of the KJV translation differ from the quoted sentence. The statement clarifies that the passage as presented is not a literal quotation from the KJV text. The note therefore alerts the reader that the language used is a rendering rather than a direct citation. The description points out that the phrase, while closely reflecting the sense of the biblical passage, is not found word‑for‑word in the KJV. The clarification serves to distinguish between a paraphrased rendering and an exact scriptural quotation. The study therefore presents the verse text first, then acknowledges the paraphrastic nature of the subsequent phrasing. The acknowledgment that the phrase does not appear verbatim in the King James Version is retained from the source material. No additional theological interpretation or application is introduced beyond the supplied information. The focus remains on the textual relationship between the quoted sentence and the official KJV rendering of Galatians 5:7. By maintaining the original observations, the study respects the source material while providing a clear statement about the paraphrase status of the phrase. Readers are thus informed of the exact nature of the citation.
