Jeremiah 27:14

Therefore hearken not vnto the words of the prophets, that speake vnto you, saying; Yee shall not serue the king of Babylon: for they prophecie a lie vnto you. Jeremiah 27:14 (KJV)

In this verse Jeremiah, speaking on behalf of God, warns the people of Judah during a critical period when the Babylonian empire under King Nebuchadnezzar threatened invasion and captivity.
