Mark 15:43

“Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.”

Joseph of Arimathaea:Joseph of Arimathaea is mentioned in all four Gospel accounts as the person who took responsibility for Jesus’ burial. He is described as an honourable or respected member of the Jewish council (Sanhedrin). Joseph was also a follower of Jesus, though his discipleship was secret for fear of the Jewish leaders (John 19:38).

The Kingdom of God:The mention of Joseph as someone who “waited for the kingdom of God” highlights his faith and expectation of the coming Messianic kingdom.
