Nehemiah 13:31

“And for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good.”

This verse serves as a closing prayer by Nehemiah, expressing his desire for God to remember him favourably for his efforts in restoring the city of Jerusalem and upholding the religious observances of the Israelites.

Nehemiah is a book in the Old Testament of the Bible, and it provides an account of Nehemiah’s leadership in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem and restoring the spiritual life of the people after their return from exile.

The book emphasises the importance of faithfulness to God’s law, the significance of communal worship, and the need for social justice and purity.
