Context

This verse belongs to Solomon’s prayer at the dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem. After completing the Temple, Solomon gathered Israel’s elders, leaders, and people for the ceremony, and he prayed at length, praising God and asking Him to hear the prayers offered toward the Temple.
