Faithful in All Things – Faithfulness implies trustworthiness, reliability, and loyalty. The wives should be faithful in their commitments, demonstrating integrity and consistency in their actions and relationships.
Application for Today:
Although the passage addresses deacons’ wives, the qualities have broader relevance for all Christian women and indeed for all believers.
Dignity and Honour – Christians should strive to conduct themselves with dignity, showing honour and respect in words, actions, and interactions.
Guarding Speech – Believers are called to be mindful of their speech, avoiding gossip, false accusations, or any form of slander, and instead speaking truthfully to edify others.
Self‑Control – Both men and women should exercise self‑control in all areas of life, avoiding extremes and excesses, including emotional control, moderation in behaviour, and disciplined decision‑making.
Faithfulness – Faithfulness should permeate every aspect of a believer’s life. Women, in particular, are encouraged to be faithful in relationships, responsibilities, and commitments, demonstrating reliability and loyalty.

It is essential to note that this passage reflects the cultural and historical context of the first‑century Greco‑Roman world.
