2 Chronicles 1:2

“Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.”

Context:The book of 2 Chronicles is a historical account of the kings of Israel, focusing mainly on the lineage of David and the construction of the temple by Solomon. Chapter 1 begins with Solomon’s ascent to the throne after the death of his father, David.

Solomon’s Address:In verse 2, Solomon addresses the leaders of Israel, including the captains of thousands and hundreds, judges, and governors. He gathers them together to communicate an important message.
