Hee that walketh vprightly, and worketh righteousnesse, and speaketh the trueth in his heart. Psalms 15:2 (KJV)

Certainly! Here is a Bible study on Psalm 15:2 (KJV):

Psalm 15:2 (KJV) says, “He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.”

Context: To better understand this verse, let’s first look at the context of Psalm 15. It is attributed to David and is a Psalm of David, focusing on the qualities of a person who is worthy to dwell in God’s presence and enjoy His blessings.

Walking Uprightly: The phrase “He that walketh uprightly” refers to someone who lives their life with integrity and moral uprightness. This person seeks to follow God’s commandments and lives in a way that is pleasing to Him. Walking uprightly implies consistency and a genuine desire to do what is right in all aspects of life.

Working Righteousness: The phrase “and worketh righteousness” emphasizes the importance of righteous actions. It is not enough to have good intentions or beliefs; our actions must align with what is right and just. Working righteousness involves actively pursuing justice, showing compassion, and treating others with fairness and kindness.

Speaking Truth in the Heart: The final part of the verse says, “and speaketh the truth in his heart.” This means that the person who is worthy of dwelling in God’s presence speaks truth from the depths of their being. It goes beyond mere external words but reflects a genuine sincerity and honesty. This person’s words are rooted in integrity and reflect their inner character.

Application: As we reflect on Psalm 15:2, it challenges us to examine our own lives. Are we walking uprightly? Do our actions demonstrate righteousness? Are we speaking the truth from the depths of our hearts? These questions encourage us to live with integrity, pursuing righteousness and truth in all areas of our lives.

God’s Reward: It is important to note that Psalm 15 doesn’t present these qualities as a means to earn salvation or God’s favor. Rather, they describe the character of those who are already in a right relationship with God. By aligning our lives with these qualities, we experience the blessings and benefits of living in fellowship with Him.
