Listen to this article

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”

Certainly! Here’s a Bible study on Psalm 35:27 (KJV):

Psalm 35:27 (KJV) says, “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”

Context of Psalm 35:27:

Psalm 35 is attributed to King David and is a prayer for deliverance from enemies and vindication. In this particular verse, David expresses his desire for those who support his righteous cause to rejoice, be glad, and continually magnify the Lord.

Shouting for Joy and Gladness:

The verse begins with an exhortation to shout for joy and be glad. This signifies the overflowing joy and happiness that believers should experience when they witness God’s righteousness being vindicated and His faithful servants being blessed. It reflects the sentiment that God’s victories and blessings should elicit a response of exuberant joy and praise from His people.

Favoring the Righteous Cause:

The verse speaks of those who favor or take pleasure in David’s righteous cause. It refers to those who support and align themselves with God’s chosen servant. As believers, we are called to champion righteousness and stand for what is just and good. When we support the cause of righteousness, God takes pleasure in it and delights in our commitment to His ways.

Continual Praise and Magnification:

The verse emphasizes the need for continuous praise and magnification of the Lord. It suggests that the proclamation of God’s greatness and His delight in the prosperity of His servants should be a consistent and ongoing practice. Our praise and magnification of God should not be limited to certain occasions or seasons but should be a regular part of our lives.

God’s Pleasure in the Prosperity of His Servants:

The verse concludes by highlighting God’s pleasure in the prosperity of His servants. It reveals God’s heart for His people and His desire to bless and prosper them. It’s important to note that prosperity in this context goes beyond material wealth; it includes overall well-being, success in endeavors, and spiritual growth. God delights in the prosperity of His servants when they walk in obedience, follow His commandments, and align themselves with His purposes.
