Daniel 7:16

“I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.”

Context:Daniel 7 is a chapter in the Book of Daniel that records a vision given to the prophet Daniel concerning future events and the rise and fall of empires. In this vision, Daniel sees four great beasts emerging from the sea, each representing a different kingdom.

Seeking the Truth:In verse 16, Daniel approaches one of the divine beings or angels who stood by in the vision. God’s Provision:Daniel’s willingness to seek the truth and approach the divine being resulted in the interpretation being made known to him. Similarly, when we approach God with a sincere heart and a thirst for knowledge, He will provide understanding and insights through His Word, the Holy Spirit, and various means of guidance.

Application:Daniel’s attitude of seeking truth and understanding has valuable applications for us as believers today. We can follow his example by approaching God with humility, diligently studying His Word, and seeking His guidance. As we seek truth, God will reveal Himself to us, deepen our understanding of His plans, and provide insight into the world around us.
