Fiction Writing Workshop: Welcome to the Fiction Writing Workshop! Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just starting out, this workshop is designed to help you develop your storytelling skills, explore new techniques, and receive constructive feedback on your work.


About the Workshop:

Our workshop provides a supportive environment where participants can share their drafts, discuss ideas, and grow as writers. Each session includes a short lecture, group discussions, and writing exercises.

Schedule:

  • Week 1: Introduction to Fiction Writing – Overview of genres, story elements, and workshop expectations.
  • Week 2: Character Development – Creating believable characters, motivations, and arcs.
  • Week 3: Plot Structure – Building tension, pacing, and effective story arcs.
  • Week 4: Dialogue and Voice – Crafting authentic dialogue and finding your narrative voice.
  • Week 5: Revision and Editing – Strategies for revising drafts and polishing prose.
  • Week 6: Publishing Options – Exploring traditional publishing, self‑publishing, and literary magazines.

Instructor:

Jane Doe, award‑winning author of “Echoes of Tomorrow” and longtime writing mentor, will guide you through each session. Jane’s experience spans creative writing, editing, and publishing, offering valuable insights for writers at every level.

Enrollment:

Spaces are limited to ensure personalized feedback. The workshop runs for six weeks, with one two‑hour session per week. The total cost is $300, which includes all materials and a private critique of a short story you’ll write during the course.
