Acts 9:15

Context:Acts 9:15 is part of the account of Saul’s conversion on the road to Damascus. Saul, who later became known as the Apostle Paul, was a devout Pharisee who persecuted Christians. However, during his journey, he encountered a blinding light and heard the voice of Jesus Christ. Saul, now Paul, would become an apostle, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to both Gentiles and Jews. This verse highlights the universal scope of the gospel, as it was not limited to a specific ethnic or religious group. Paul’s ministry played a crucial role in spreading Christianity to the Gentiles, as well as testifying before kings and the Jewish people.

God’s Commission:The Lord’s instruction to Ananias reveals His divine commission for believers to carry out His work. God chooses individuals and equips them to fulfil specific tasks in furthering His kingdom. Just as God called Saul for a unique purpose, He calls and commissions each believer to serve Him faithfully in different capacities.
