Ezekiel Chapter 46

Summery

Ezekiel 46 describes the regulations and guidelines for the prince’s access to the temple and his worship activities on the Sabbath and special occasions. The east gate of the inner court will be opened on these days, and the prince is to enter through it and worship at the threshold. Afterward, he exits through the same gate.

On the Sabbath, the prince presents a burnt offering to the Lord, consisting of six lambs and a ram, all without blemish. He also offers an ephah of flour as a grain offering, along with a hin of oil. Additionally, the gate of the inner court remains open during the six working days, but it is shut on the Sabbath and reopened on the day after.

The prince is granted possession of a special portion of land within the city, where his sons may dwell and minister to the Lord. This land is adjacent to the priests’ holy district. Moreover, the people of the land are to bring their offerings, sacrifices, and firstfruits to the prince. He is responsible for providing the animals for the daily burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the drink offerings.
