Isaiah 57:17

“For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.”

Frowardness of Heart:The verse concludes by saying that the people went on “frowardly in the way of his heart.” “Frowardness” refers to a stubborn and rebellious attitude. Despite God’s anger and discipline, the people persisted in their sinful ways, following the desires and inclinations of their own hearts instead of submitting to God’s will. This stubbornness indicates a lack of repentance and a refusal to change their behaviour.
