Listen to this article

“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”

Context: The book of Isaiah contains prophecies and messages given by God through the prophet Isaiah, primarily addressing the nation of Israel. In the preceding verses, Isaiah speaks of a time when God will create new heavens and a new earth, where His people will rejoice and delight in Him.

God’s responsiveness: The verse emphasizes God’s responsiveness to His people’s prayers. It depicts a relationship where God is not only listening but also preemptively answering their prayers. God’s knowledge and understanding are so deep that He knows the needs of His people even before they express them.

God’s omniscience and omnipresence: This verse reveals God’s omniscience, meaning that He possesses all knowledge and understanding. He is aware of His people’s needs and desires even before they vocalize them. Additionally, it highlights God’s omnipresence, indicating that He is always present and attentive to the concerns of His people.

Assurance of God’s care: This verse provides great comfort and assurance to believers. It assures them that God is not distant or unconcerned but actively involved in their lives. He is ready to answer and provide for their needs. It demonstrates His unfailing love and willingness to respond to His people’s prayers.

Application: As believers, we can find solace and confidence in the fact that God hears our prayers and knows our needs. This verse encourages us to approach God with trust and faith, knowing that He will answer even before we ask. It also encourages us to maintain open communication with God, speaking to Him about our concerns, joys, and desires.
