The NABRE renders it “Faithfulness has disappeared; the word itself is banished from their speech.” The NASB renders it “trustworthiness has perished and has been eliminated from their mouth.” Thus, the verse describes a people whose disobedience and rejection of correction resulted in the complete loss of truthful and faithful speech.
