Numbers 13:3

And Moses by the commaundement of the Lord, sent them from the wildernes of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel. Numbers 13:3 (KJV)

Wilderness of Paran: The spies were sent from the wilderness of Paran, a desert region south of Canaan near the Sinai Peninsula. It was a vast and rugged wilderness where the Israelites had been wandering for some time, and from which the reconnaissance mission began.

God’s Guidance: It is important to note that Moses sent the spies in obedience to God’s commandment. God wanted the people to see the land He had promised them, but the mission also presented a test of faith. The Lord intended to demonstrate His power and faithfulness through this expedition.
