Psalms 104:24

“O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.”

Context:The book of Psalms is a collection of poetic songs and prayers that express various emotions and themes, including praise, thanksgiving, lament, and wisdom. Psalm 104 is known as a psalm of creation, where the psalmist praises God for His majestic works in the natural world.

Acknowledging God’s Works:The verse begins with a declaration of awe and wonder toward God, saying, “O Lord, how manifold are thy works!” The psalmist acknowledges the vastness and abundance of God’s creations. It reflects a sense of amazement and reverence for the Creator.

Wisdom in Creation:The psalmist further acknowledges that God’s works are made with wisdom, stating, “in wisdom hast thou made them all.” This statement acknowledges the divine intelligence and purpose behind all of God’s creations. The intricate design and order found in the natural world testify to the wisdom and knowledge of God.

Earth as a Display of God’s Riches:The verse concludes by proclaiming, “the earth is full of thy riches.” This statement recognizes the abundance and generosity of God’s provision in the earth.
