“The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.”

Context:This verse is a part of Psalm 145, which is a psalm of praise and thanksgiving to God.

It is attributed to King David and is a reflection on the greatness, goodness, and faithfulness of God.

The Eyes of All Wait Upon Thee:The verse begins by acknowledging that the eyes of all creatures are focused on God.

This statement signifies that all living beings, both humans and animals, depend on God for their sustenance and provision.

It recognizes God as the ultimate source and provider of all things.

Thou Givest Them Their Meat:The verse goes on to declare that God gives food to all living beings.

The term “meat” in this context refers to sustenance or food in general.

It highlights God’s role as the provider of nourishment for all His creation.

This verse expresses the belief that God takes care of His creatures and ensures their physical well-being by meeting their needs.

In Due Season:The verse concludes by emphasizing that God provides food to His creation in the proper time or season.

This phrase suggests that God’s provision is not only abundant but also timely and appropriate.

It underscores God’s perfect timing in meeting the needs of His creatures.

It implies that God knows the specific requirements and timing for each individual or species, and He provides accordingly.

Overall, Psalm 145:15 acknowledges God as the ultimate provider and sustainer of all life.

It reminds us that we depend on God’s provision for our daily needs, and He faithfully meets them in His perfect timing.

This verse encourages us to trust in God’s provision and to be grateful for His abundant care.
