Acts Chapter 28

Summery

Acts 28 describes the final leg of Paul's journey as he reaches the island of Malta after surviving a shipwreck. The local people show kindness to the shipwrecked crew, and while Paul helps gather firewood, a viper bites him. However, he suffers no harm, and the islanders perceive him as a god. Paul then heals the father of Publius, the chief of the island, which leads to many others coming for healing.

After three months on Malta, Paul and his companions set sail on another ship that had wintered there. They eventually arrive in Rome, where believers come to meet them. Paul is allowed to stay in his own rented house, guarded by a soldier. He calls the leaders of the Jews to present his case, explaining that he was arrested in Jerusalem for preaching the hope of Israel. Though some accept his message, others reject it.

Paul spends two years in Rome, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching about Jesus Christ. People from various backgrounds come to hear him. The book of Acts concludes by highlighting Paul's boldness and dedication in proclaiming the gospel, with no hindrance or restriction.
