In Ezekiel 11, the prophet receives a revelation from the Lord while still in exile among the captives in Babylon. God takes him in a vision to Jerusalem, where Ezekiel witnesses the corruption and wickedness of the city’s leaders and inhabitants. The people falsely believe that they are safe within the city walls, but God declares His judgment upon them.
The Lord reveals to Ezekiel that those who are wicked in their hearts will face punishment and destruction. The leaders who exploit and oppress the people will be judged, and the false prophets who deceive the nation will also be held accountable.
However, amidst the judgment, God promises a remnant. He speaks of gathering the scattered Israelites from the nations and bringing them back to their land. He assures them that He will be their sanctuary and restore them to a right relationship with Him.
This chapter serves as a warning to the corrupt leaders and people of Jerusalem, emphasizing God’s righteous judgment and His promise of restoration for the faithful remnant.
