Isaiah 48:18

Peace like a River:The verse continues by stating that if the people had listened to God’s commandments, their peace would have been like a river. The waves of the sea are vast, powerful, and unceasing. They illustrate the abundance and magnificence of righteousness that God would have bestowed upon His people. Righteousness refers to right standing with God, acting in accordance with His will, and living a morally upright life.

A Missed Opportunity:The verse concludes by indicating that the people missed out on these blessings due to their disobedience. It conveys a sense of regret and highlights the consequences of their actions. God’s desire was for His people to experience abundant peace and righteousness, but their disobedience prevented them from receiving these blessings.
