James 4:10

The second part of James 4:10 states, “and he shall lift you up.” When we humble ourselves before God, He promises to exalt us in due time. This exaltation is not in the sense of worldly fame or fortune, but rather in the spiritual realm.
God lifts us up by His grace and mercy. He blesses us with His presence, guidance, and provision. He honors the humble and grants them spiritual growth, wisdom, and understanding. He elevates their status in His kingdom, granting them a place of honor and authority.
It’s important to note that the lifting up mentioned in this verse may not always be immediate or tangible in the temporal sense. God’s timing and ways are not always the same as ours. However, we can be assured that as we humble ourselves before Him, seeking to align our lives with His will, He will fulfill His promises in His perfect time and according to His purposes.
