Luke 8:44

Came behinde him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediatly her issue of blood stanched. Luke 8:44 (KJV)

In her desperate search for a cure she approached Jesus from behind in a large crowd, believing that if she could only touch the border of His garment she would be healed. When she finally touched the edge of Jesus’ robe something extraordinary occurred: immediately her bleeding ceased, fulfilling her faith‑driven expectation.

Sensing that power had gone out from Him, Jesus turned and asked who had touched Him. The woman, realizing she could not go unnoticed, came forward trembling and revealed herself. In Luke 8:48 Jesus responds, “Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.” This statement confirms that it was the woman’s faith in Jesus’ ability to heal that brought about her restoration, rather than merely touching His garment.
