Proverbs 4:12

When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.

Context

Solomon, the wise king, speaks these words to his sons as part of a father’s instruction. He urges them to hold fast to wisdom and follow the path of righteousness. The verse uses the picture of a journey to describe the whole course of life.
