Psalms 107:32
“Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.”
Context:Psalm 107 is a beautiful psalm that highlights the steadfast love and faithfulness of God. It speaks of the redemption of the Lord and encourages people to give thanks and praise to Him for His goodness. The psalm is divided into different sections, each focusing on a particular aspect of God’s deliverance.
The verse begins by calling for exaltation or praise to God. Exalting God involves lifting Him up, honoring Him, and giving Him the highest place in our lives. It is an act of recognizing His greatness, power, and goodness.
The psalmist encourages the people to exalt God “in the congregation of the people.” This implies that praising God should not be confined to private worship but should extend to public gatherings of believers. It is an invitation to come together as a community and express adoration and thanksgiving to God.
Corporate worship provides an opportunity for believers to join their voices, hearts, and spirits in praise and worship. It is a powerful expression of unity and a testimony to the world of God’s work in the lives of His people.

Praising God in the Assembly of the Elders:
The psalmist also emphasizes the role of the elders in praising God. The assembly of the elders refers to the leaders and wise men of the community. Their participation in worship is crucial because they set an example for others to follow.
Elders, as spiritual leaders, have the responsibility to lead the congregation in exalting God. Their wisdom and experience can guide the community in acknowledging God’s faithfulness and leading others into a deeper understanding of His goodness.
This verse reminds us that praising God is not limited to a specific age group or social status. It is a call for everyone, including the elders, to actively participate in worship, setting an example for others.
