Psalms 6:3
“My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O Lord, how long?”
Context: Psalm 6 is attributed to King David and is categorized as a penitential psalm. In this psalm, David expresses his distress and anguish, seeking God’s mercy and deliverance from his enemies or affliction.

David’s question of “how long?” also highlights the importance of trusting in God’s timing. Although we may desire immediate relief, God’s plans and purposes are not always aligned with our timetable. Trusting in His perfect timing and His wisdom is essential, knowing that He works all things for the good of those who love Him.

Although he is in distress, David holds onto his faith and trust in the Lord. This encourages us to persevere in our prayers and remain steadfast, even in times of difficulty.
